Decided to try for a quilted look! The thread that I used is a variegated blue, not black. I was quite pleased with the result considering I used scraps of blue and green pp, a square punch and my sewing machine!

This looks utterly adorable! Just love the patchwork look! And what a clever idea you had to use a square punch to cut all the pieces (silly me would have used a trimmer!)
