My brother brought this back from Cornwall back in the mid-80's. It had instructions about not letting it out of the cage otherwise it's likely to breed profusely. Not sure what happened to its other eye or the other 'bar' of the cage but since it's been in a cupboard we haven't had any problems with it.

Love it. It must have lost that eye when it tried to escape and broke that bar.....
