Cybercrop this Friday January 18th

Hi Everyone

Just a quick reminder that our monthly cybercrop is on this weekend. The first challenge will be posted at about 2.30pmWST and you have till midnight on Monday January 21st to upload your entries into our gallery. We already have some pre-CC chat and hints in our forum go and check them out here. The DT girls and I would love to see you all there.

We have had some gorgeous layouts made with our January scrap pack and I thought I would share a couple with you.

This fabulous layout was made by our Creative Chook Kathy using the January Chook Scraps pack. I love the way she has cut the diamonds from the patterned paper to create the border under the photo.[photopress:Kathy_Jan_Pack.jpg,full,pp_empty]

This stunning layout was made by our Creative Chook Susan using the January Chook Scraps pack. The felt makes a wonderful border and the way Susan has journaled straight onto the photo has finished off the layout perfectly.[photopress:Susan_Jan_pack.jpg,full,pp_empty]

Competitions, Challenges and Sketches

Hi Everyone

Just thought I should let you know about our first major competition for 2008. After the success of out 2007 Survivor Competition we have revamped it for 2008 and we are currently taking sign ups. To check out the details please visit our forum here. Apart from the chance of winning some great prizes the competition is also loads of fun.

We have also revamped our monthly challenges for 2008. Each month we post eight challenges and for everyone you complete you get an entry into the draw for a $10 Chook Scraps voucher. Four of our challenges are sketches which will be added to our sketch gallery and you have the chance of your layout being chosen to be the sample in our sketch gallery. All the details for our challenges can be found here.

Speaking of the sketch gallery have you visited it yet? We are slowly populating it with sketches and each sketch comes with a sample. I just love this layout titled “New Skills” which Kathy made using our October 2006 challenge sketch.

October/November Scrap Pack Winner

Our October/November scrap pack featured some wonderful papers from Jenny Bowlin including one of her versitile die-cut papers. Our Design Team created some amazing layouts with the pack including this fabulous one made by Jan. I love the way she has made a frame by cutting the edge off part off the diecut sheet.

The winning layout for this pack was created by Hilary and features her gorgeous son. Great layout Hilary and congrats on your win.
