I have a CCCC for you today that uses your scraps of Christmas Paper.
For this design you will need:
an A5 card base
- selection of scrap pp- I have used paper from 6×6 pad
- a 1 ¼” square punch (if you don’t have one you can cut 1 ¼” squares)
- a rounded corner punch
- some coordinating ribbon and/or lace
- a coordinating flower
- a sentiment stamp, sentiment rub-ons or alpha stickers
First, I punched squares from my papers. I punched 2 from each design – any I have left over will go on the next card.
Choose 5 squares that coordinate and play around with them until you get the look you like. Using the corner punch, punch 2 opposite corners. Make sure you punch all the squares on the same corners. Attach your squares to your base card in the layout as shown below.
Then attach your ribbon on the left hand side as shown. I use my Xyron for easy attachment 🙂
You can place your sentiment on flags (stamping, using rub-ons or alpha stckers), or you can stamp one of the squares – it is personal choice. Then attach your flower and voila a simple yet stylish card!
Here are two other examples using the basic design. The second card, I punched the edge first before folding, and I used cut out Christmas trees in the centre of the flower.
