For a great Christmas gift, learn how to alter a clock.

Requirements:

1 clock - I purchased mine from the cheap shop.
1 sheet patterned paper
1 photo
Rub-ons
Number stickers
ink for distressing
Scrapping Tools

Tip: before you pull your clock apart and alter it, make sure it works!

Step 1

Carefully dismantle clock. My clock came apart by removing the front clear plastic, then the hands, followed by the clock face. Sit the hands safely in the plastic cover so you don't lose or bend them.

Step 2

Using the clock face as a template, trace around and cut out your patterned paper. Punch a hole where the mechanism will go.

Step 3

Now you can scrap your clock face however you like, remembering that you must keep it flat.

As my clock was only small I have only used 1 photo, which I have distressed by sanding. Cutting out part of the flower on the pp, to tuck the photo under.

You could mark the hours on with pencil at this point if you wish.

Step 4

Stick on the number stickers, I have used alphabiggies. Ink the edge of the pp.

Step 5

Embellish with rub-ons.

Step 6

Glue your new clock face to the old cardboard one and replace into the clock. Carefully put back the hands in the order you removed them. Replace plastic cover.
