First you will need to create an account with Photobucket if you don't already have one.

The photo can be up to 1 MB each or 2048 x 1536 resolution but will need to be resized so it's not too large in the forum. You can either do this in your photo editing programme or resize in Photobucket where they have some preset sizes. I usually make them to be between 300 or 500 on the long side, depending on how much detail needs to be seen.

Once you have saved the image you need to copy the IMG code and paste into your post. If you're not sure about the size you can use the 'Preview' button next to 'Submit' to check and adjust it and repeat the process of save, copy and paste.

More info can be found here

I hope that helps but if you are still not sure let me know and I'll try to make it clearer.

Hi there

In addition to adding photos in a thread (which I can now do, thankyou) how do you add images to the description when adding to the gallery? Its a perfect way to show closeups of aspects of layouts. I'm thinking it is possibly the same as adding photos to a thread but I'm not sure how to go about it.

Thanks in advance Smile

The same way as for the forum, using the IMG code.

Embarassed
I've never bothered because I'm sick of having online accounts all over the place and didn't want to sign up with photobucket. BUT I clicked on the link and checked whether I could sign in to photobucket using my generic password. It seems I have had an acc with PB for yonks!! Embarassed

I wonder what other accounts I've started and not maintained?
